Maiya Szotkowski, BSW

Maiya is a member of the Behavior Intervention Team and works with children and families on creating and implementing behavioral intervention and skill-based programs in the clinic and home settings.

Maiya graduated from Taylor University in Indiana with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In her time at Taylor University, she had the opportunity to work under a school social worker at a historically high risk elementary school providing social emotional and behavioral support to students. Maiy also developed programming and taught pre-college academic English through the university. After graduating, Maiya had the opportunity to work as a resettlement case manager through Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota working with refugees in Rochester, MN and surrounding communities. Maiya is also looking forward to obtaining her Masters in Social Work in the near future.

In her free time, Maiya enjoys hiking, camping, taking road trips to visit friends across the U.S, and spending time at home with her family and puppy, Mo. She is always looking for a challenge and enjoys trying new things!
